why does my blood type not register?
i took a blood test and my blood type did not show up,
It depends on what blood test you have had. There are loads of different things to test for in your blood, and doctors do not routinely check your blood type.
The commonest blood test performed is a Full Blood Count (FBC) or Complete Blood Count (CBC) - different names depending where you are in the world. This checks the number of blood cells, haemoglobin level, cell size, white blood cells, platelets and a number of other measurements.
Unless you need something like a blood transfusion your blood type will not have been tested.
