I try to turn the Decals, Speculations, and Shadows on in the options menu, but they are greyed out, any idea as to why?
might be your system specs
what are they and waht os have you got
i got windows 7 and i had xp with good specs everything works fine.
try reinstalling it
then if that doesnt work try running a compatibility mode through properties
finally if they dont work try changing other settings like resolution to see if it lets you on other resolutions
