which grinder should i use to make smooth the inside face of a 18mm wide and 65mm slot in a SS plate ?
depends on how rough it is now and how smooth you want it to be. And on how thick the plate is.
Just start out with a fairly fine Dremel grinder and if that gets you nowhere, use a heaver duty grinder. Progress to finer and finer grades.
